Fort Lauderdale, FL – Fowler White Boggs Banker continues to expand its Fort Lauderdale office announcing that Michael S. Byrnes has joined the firm’s Business Transactions and Corporate Law Practice Group.
Mr. Byrnes joins Fowler White as an associate. His area of practice includes health care corporate transactions and regulatory compliance. Mr. Byrnes’ work has included advising clients on topics such as: corporate structuring; health care fraud and abuse issues regarding Stark/Florida Patient Self-Referral Act, anti-kickback, and fee-splitting; employment and professional service agreements; Medicaid audits and Department of Health complaints; HIPAA, EMTALA and third party reimbursement disputes.
Prior to joining Fowler White Boggs Banker, Mr. Byrnes was an associate with the law firm of Broad and Cassel, in West Palm Beach and Miami, Florida. Mr. Byrnes earned his J.D. from Creighton University School of Law, his M.S. in Health Care Administration from Trinity University and his B.A. and B.S. from Trinity University.
