Tampa, FL – The law firm of Fowler White Boggs Banker has named Ceci Culpepper Berman and Darren D. Farfante shareholders.
Ms. Berman practices in the firm’s Appellate, Coverage and Law Practice and concentrates her practice in all types of appellate litigation, with a focus on commercial litigation appeals. She also has exceptional experience handling federal bankruptcy appeals and family law appeals. She received her B.A., with honors, from the University of Florida and her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. She was recently selected by Florida Trend Magazine as an “up and comer” Legal Elite.
Mr. Farfante practices in the firm’s Commercial Litigation, Tax, and White Collar Crimal Defense Groups where he concentrates his practice in the areas of civil tax controversies, bankruptcy, creditor’s rights, contract disputes, and criminal tax matters. He is board certified in Creditor’s Rights. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Farfante was a trial attorney with the United States Department of Justice, Tax Division in Washington, D.C. where he investigated and litigated federal tax cases involving sophisticated offshore corporate tax shelters, challenges to federal tax statutes, taxpayer fraud, constitutional challenges to government action, and tax issues arising in bankruptcy. He received his Master’s Degree in Accounting, with honors; his J.D., with honors; and his LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida.
