They were among 80 lawyers in Florida, and only 13 lawyers in Tampa, to qualify for this newly established certification, the first of its kind in the U.S.
Both Mr. Matulis and Dr. Paradies are shareholders in Fowler White’s Tampa office and are also Registered Patent Attorneys before the United States Patent & Trademark Office. Their practices include: preparing and prosecuting applications, providing legal opinions, representing clients in intellectual property disputes and drafting and negotiating intellectual property license agreements. Mr. Matulis has extensive experience as a litigator and lead trial attorney and practices in intellectual property litigation and dispute resolution including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and internet disputes. Dr. Paradies has an educational background and extensive experience as principal investigator, program manager, and patent attorney in solid state physics, optics, solidification of solids, nanotechnology, metallurgy, medical devices, drug delivery, biotechnology, alternative energy and aerospace and practices exclusively in intellectual property law.
