The Public Finance Group has extensive experience in the field of public finance and federal tax matters. The Public Finance attorneys have served as underwriter's counsel, bond counsel, special tax counsel, borrower's counsel, credit enhancer's counsel, P3 (Public Private Partnership) counsel and trustee's counsel in virtually every type of financing matter, from small general obligation issues to over two billion dollars of financing for a state turnpike system. Our experience includes stadiums, airports, hospitals and health care systems, water and sewer projects, general infrastructure financings, roadway transportation systems, community development and special district projects, single and multifamily housing financings, school district projects, industrial development projects and solid waste disposal and cogeneration financings.

Lawyers in the Firm have represented state and local governments, community development districts and authorities, underwriters, borrowers, trustees and banks. They have been involved in numerous projects including the Pro Player Stadium and the Rickenbacker Causeway in Miami, the Pennsylvania Turnpike and the Pittsburgh International Airport, numerous community development district projects, Tampa Port Authority projects, and projects for the Tampa-Hillsborough County Expressway Authority.
In all types of municipal bond financings, the Firm's Public Finance lawyers have been responsible as Bond Counsel for the tax analysis regarding compliance with the Internal Revenue Code and the regulations promulgated thereunder. The members of the Public Finance Group have also conducted or participated in each bond validation proceeding in which the Firm has served as Bond Counsel. The Firm's Litigation Department provides advice regarding contested proceedings and has never experienced an unsuccessful validation.
