Tampa, FL - Fowler White Boggs is pleased to announce that nine attorneys have been named to Florida Super Lawyers' 2009 list of "Florida Rising Stars." Keith T. Appleby (Tampa), Ceci Berman (Tampa), Melissa A. Dearing (Jacksonville), Christina Johnson-Boyce (Tampa), Michael S. Lamont (Fort Lauderdale), Maya M. Lockwood (Tampa), Jaime A. Maurer (Fort Myers), Julie Simone Sneed (Tampa) and Lindsey R. Trowell (Jacksonville). This list recognizes the top up-and-coming attorneys in the state -- those who are 40 years old or younger, or those who have been practicing for 10 years or less.
Peer-recognition ballots are used to nominate attorneys and additional candidates are identified through an independent search. Final candidates are selected based on experience, professional achievements, bar activities, pro bono and community service, and scholarly lectures and writings.
