Tampa, FL – Hunter J. Brownlee, a shareholder with the law firm of Fowler White Boggs has been board certified in Tax Law by the Board of Legal Specialization & Education of The Florida Bar. This Certification recognizes lawyers who demonstrate special knowledge, skills and proficiency in Tax Law.
Mr. Brownlee focuses his practice in federal, state and local taxation. With respect to his federal tax practice, Mr. Brownlee provides clients with advice regarding income tax planning, like-kind exchanges and structuring of mergers and acquisitions. With respect to his state and local tax practice, he represents clients in Florida Department of Revenue administrative actions, provides corporate structuring advice, including advice on sales tax and income tax nexus, and advises on the applicability of Florida documentary stamp taxes, sales tax and corporate income tax in business transactions. He received his B.A. from Vanderbilt University, his J.D., cum laude, from Stetson University, and his LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida.
