Tampa, FL - Fowler White Boggs is pleased to announce that Latour “LT” Lafferty has been appointed to the Advisory Board for the Center for Ethics at the University of Tampa, College of Business. The mission of the Center for Ethics is to provide educational and professional resources to promote ethical systems and individual responsibility in the academic and greater business community through close interaction with the University.
Latour “LT” Lafferty is a shareholder and the Firm's White Collar Crime, Government Investigations and Regulatory Compliance Practice Leader. Mr. Lafferty is a former federal prosecutor having worked as an Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) in Tampa for ten (10) years and proactively represents organizational and individual clients in federal and state governmental investigations and proceedings involving all aspects of regulatory enforcement matters. His practice includes white collar criminal defense; grand jury investigations; subpoenas; search warrants; internal investigations; parallel civil and administrative litigation; arbitration and mediation; corporate compliance plans; voluntary disclosures and deferred prosecution agreements; independent corporate monitoring; and business torts litigation including fraud and civil theft. Mr. Lafferty's practice also includes a variety of State of Florida professional regulatory and disciplinary investigations and the representation of individuals in matters related to Florida’s Code of Conduct for state and local public officers.
Mr. Lafferty received his B.A. from the University of Florida and his J.D., cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law. Mr. Lafferty has also earned Graduate Certificates in Healthcare Corporate Compliance from George Washington University and Health Management and Leadership from the University of South Florida.
