Jacksonville, FL – Fowler White Boggs is pleased to announce that David Burns and Stu Williams have joined the firm’s Jacksonville office as associates and will practice in the Business and Appellate Litigation Group.
Mr. Burns concentrates his practice on general and commercial litigation and appeals including disputes involving business relationships, property rights, contracts, construction defects, real estate and banking relationships, and product defects. He also has experience in bankruptcy proceedings, having represented trustees, debtors and creditors in bankruptcy courts throughout Florida. David is a regular participant in pro bono programs, and was recently recognized by the Federal Bar Association, Jacksonville Chapter, for his pro bono work in federal court. He received his B.A., cum laude, from the University of Florida and his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he was a member of the Florida Law Review.
Mr. Williams focuses his practice on general and commercial litigation in the federal and state courts in Florida, including disputes involving banking relationships, foreclosure, property rights, contracts, business torts, maritime law, construction defects, and general commercial disputes. Stu also has significant federal and state appellate litigation experience, including appeals involving federal and state constitutional law, contract law, property law, family law, state and local voter referenda, and bankruptcy. He is currently Chair of the Appellate Law Section of The Jacksonville Bar Association and is a Barrister member of the Florida First District Court of Appeal, Appellate Inn of Court. He received his B.A. from Pennsylvania State University and his J.D., summa cum laude, from the Florida State University College of Law, where he served as Executive Editor of the Florida State University Law Review.
