Tampa, FL – G. “Calvin” Hayes has joined the law firm of Fowler White Boggs as a shareholder in the Insurance, Health Care, and Class Action Practice Group in its Tampa Office.
Mr. Hayes practices in the area of complex commercial and administrative litigation. His litigation experience includes representing individuals, businesses, financial service institutions, and real estate entities in state and federal court and before the State of Florida Department of Administrative Hearings. Mr. Hayes is also experienced in defending state Attorney General investigations and he has represented financial service institutions and their officers in matters involving the FDIC and State of Florida Office of Financial Regulation.
Mr. Hayes' practice often involves class actions and he has defended clients in class actions involving: fraud, false advertising, unfair trade practices, securities, sales tax, breach of contract, privacy statutes, antitrust law, Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), the Fair Housing Act, mass torts, product liability, and toxic substance exposure. He is experienced in litigating statewide and national class actions in both Florida state and federal courts. Mr. Hayes regularly lectures on Federal Court Civil Litigation - Class Action Practice and Procedure. He serves as Co-Chair of the Mass Torts Subcommittee of the ABA Class Actions and Derivative Suits Committee.

Prior to joining Fowler White Boggs, Mr. Hayes was a partner with the law firm of Holland & Knight. He received his B.A. from the University of Florida and his J.D., from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
