David Potter to Join Labor and Employment Practice in Fort Myers

        Fort Myers, FL – Fowler White Boggs is pleased to announce that David C. Potter has joined the Firm’s statewide Labor and Employment practice and will bring his considerable experience in the areas of labor and employment to lead that practice for the Firm in Southwest Florida.  Mr. Potter will remain resident in the Firm’s Fort Myers office.

        Mr. Potter has been and will continue to be a shareholder in the Firm’s Business and Appellate Litigation Practice. He represents management clients in all aspects of employment issues in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies.  He also regularly advises clients on day-to-day employment matters under state, federal and local laws.  Mr. Potter will moderate and present at the Firm’s Fort Myers Employment Law Seminar at the Harborside Event Center on April 7, 2011.

        Prior to joining the Firm in 2007, Mr. Potter completed a two-year federal trial court clerkship, a one-year state appellate court clerkship and practiced for five years in the Boston office of a leading global law firm.  He also taught the first-year legal research and writing class at Boston University School of Law. He received his B.A., cum laude, from Hofstra University and his J.D., magna cum laude, from Boston University School of Law.
