Humphrey has been recently appointed to the Second District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission by Governor Charlie Crist. Mr. Humphrey’s appointment will run for a term beginning October 05, 2010, and ending July 1, 2014.
Jim Humphrey is a shareholder in the Environmental and Land Use Practice. His practice is primarily in the area of government, administrative, real estate, and land use law. He is counsel to the Lee Memorial Health System Board of Directors, a public body, and counsel to the Lee County and Charlotte County Industrial Development Authorities. He also serves as Trustee of Hodges University. Mr. Humphrey served as Mayor of Fort Myers from 2000-2010. He is AV peer review rated by Martindale-Hubbell. His long career includes service as the full-time Lee County Attorney, and as a city judge in Fort Myers. A U.S. Army veteran, Jim Humphrey served as captain in the Judge Advocate General Corps (JAG).
