Tampa, FL - Christopher Paradies, Ph.D., a shareholder in the law
firm of Fowler White Boggs P.A., has been appointed Chair of the Applied
Medicine and Human Performance sector for the Tampa Bay Regional Business Plan
and to the Tampa Bay Partnership’s Regional Leadership
Council. His sector’s goal is to have the Tampa Bay region
become a recognized center of excellence for specific, targeted areas of life
sciences that leverage key and unique regional assets - especially in fields
related to senior health/wellness and human performance for all ages.
His legal practice focuses in
the areas of intellectual property law, biotechnology, nanotechnology, the life
sciences and healthcare. His practice team includes attorneys and paralegals
trained to assist clients in intellectual property, federal regulatory
approvals and resolving disputes in state and federal courts and before
administrative agencies. He has represented clients in complex copyright,
trademark, patent and federal regulatory matters and disputes, and works with
clients to increase the value of their intellectual capital and to reduce their
litigation risks. He received his B.S. in physics from the United States
Military Academy at West Point, his Ph.D. in materials science and engineering
from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his J.D., summa cum laude,
from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. Chris is engaged in the
economic development of Tampa Bay, as Chair of the Tampa Bay Innovation Center,
Vice Chair of the Tampa Bay Technology Forum, Chair of the Sponsorship
Committee for the BioFlorida Annual Meeting to be held in Tampa on October
23-25, 2011 and with the Tampa Bay Partnership, and he is an active member of
the Hillsborough Bar Association.
