Kevin M. Murch concentrates his practice in construction law.  Mr. Murch provides legal advice in all areas of construction law, including: Florida’s construction lien law, performance and payment bonds, claims (both construction defect and construction delay), breach of the contract claims.  He has also drafted many construction agreements on behalf of owners, contractors, architects, subcontractors, and engineers.  Mr. Murch’s clients have included large general contractors (including one Fortune Global 500 contractor), developers, owners, subcontractors, architects, and engineers.  Mr. Murch also practices in general liability and professional negligence matters associated with the construction industry, including tort claims for injuries on construction jobsites and professional malpractice claims against Architects and Engineers.

In litigation, Mr. Murch’s past experience includes the representation of a Fortune Global 500 company involving construction defects.  He also successfully defended a multi-million dollar joint venture accused of a construction injury involving the Space Shuttle.  Mr. Murch represents general contractors and engineers throughout the state of Florida involving breach of contract and negligence claims involving schools, condominiums, multi-family apartment complexes, college campus dormitories, and roadway improvement projects. 

Mr. Murch’s prior contract drafting experience involves drafting a multi-million dollar construction contract on behalf of developers involved in a roadway improvement project.  He also has experience in navigating public-private partnership projects.  He has drafted multi-million dollar agreements on behalf of owners, contractors, and developers for the design and construction of several structures, including museums. 

Mr. Murch is a member of the Firm's Construction and Real Estate industry team which has substantial experience in full representation of owners, architects, engineers and general contractors.  Mr. Murch is also a member of Fowler White’s Green initiative.  In that capacity, he provides legal advice to contractors, owners, governmental entities, developers, and architects involved in construction of a facility attempting to achieve certification under an accreditation systems for sustainable construction (the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED standard, the Florida Green Building Coalition’s Green Standard, the Green Building Initiative’s Green Globe System, etc.).
